Andy ironing tips
How to take care of your Andy product
Andy is made from high-quality materials and designed to last over time. We advise the usage of deminarilsed water in order to prevent limescale.
- Use only tap water for both ironing and cleaning the board. Water treated with decalcification or cartridge filters is not suitable. It may be corrosive or carry particles that could damage the board.
- Perform the boiler cleaning periodically (once every three months), running clean water through two or three cycles as indicated on the usage manual.
- If you are using demineralised water, cleaning may be less frequent, but it must still be performed to keep the product in good condition
- Replace the ironing board cover if worn or damaged to maintain its proper functionality and safe use. We recommend using only original spare parts.
Get started with Andy: set up and first usage
Setting up Andy is very easy, and the ironing board heats up within just one minute. Fill up the boiler and position all the components before turning on the board. When using it for the first time, let steam flow for few seconds before ironing.
How does Andy hand-ironing work?
1. Set the Hand mode
To iron with hands, simply select the “Hand” function, put on the satin gloves, and lay out the garment on the suction and blowing ironing board.
2. Start the Thermal Technology
Activating the blowing fuction you will see steam rising from the ironing board. You can iron the garment opened up or already folded, depending on the size.
3. Glide over the fabric
Run your hands over the garment, and the wrinkles disappear effortlessly. The gentleness of this technique makes the Andy ironing board suitable for any type of fabric.
Sandwich ironing: both sides in one touch
The Andy ironing board distributes steam and heat evenly across the surface, allowing for different ironing styles. Using double-sided steam ironing helps you easily smooth even the most delicate fabrics.
